About Our Town
Idylwylde is a tight-knit community nestled in the heart of the Texas Hill Country — a place where folks still wave from their porches, the coffee is always on, and the skies go on forever.
Founded in 1889 by a small band of settlers drawn by the land's natural beauty and restorative springs, Idylwylde has grown into a vibrant, welcoming community proud of its heritage and its people.
Whether you're here for our famous open-air markets, our hiking trails through ancient cedar and live oak, or just to slow down and breathe — you'll find Idylwylde has a way of getting under your skin. In the best possible way, of course.
